Christkindlmarket and new photo venture

As of very recently, I am enrolled in a certificate program for photography to finally figure out this DSLR business.  While I did take some photo classes in college, I never really got a full training and seeing as I love love love photography (almost as much as I love art) and my services may be of use to at least one person in the future, I decided to dive in head first and commit to a year of classes.  I started two weeks ago at the Chicago Photography Academy and absolutely love it.  A lot of the stuff we are learning in this first level photography class is stuff that I already knew, but did not necessarily understand.  The teacher is great.  He is informative, great at explaining and makes sure everyone is on the same page.  He is also a food photographer, which is also on my top five favorite things in the world list, so he gets a couple stars for that.  Class moves fast and the information is overwhelming, which is great because I function at my best at this pace.  I’ll have some fun photos to share from this weeks assignment next week, but until then, here’s what I did instead of concentrating on this weeks assignment (it was to photograph architecture… and as pretty as it is to look at, I really cannot stand photographing buildings…), Christkindlmarket:
