This past weekend my friend Krista and I paid St. Louis (but really, our friend Ted) a quick visit. Our weekend centered around the consumption of as much delicious food as possible, with time to fill in between. I happened to photograph the time in between a bit more than the food, so I’ll share those photos (although, do not get me wrong, I have nearly all our meals well documented as well!) Our host/tour guide/awesome friend Ted led us through some St. Louis hotspots. We zoomed through the Botanical Gardens, the Washington University campus, Forest Park, the St. Louis Art Museum and some local breweries. I’m not sure if you can tell, but Ted’s probably angry smiling in the photos and cursed me every time I pointed the camera at him. He was a trooper though, and humored me :) Krista, on the other hand, used to my camera antics, posed like a pro. Thanks guys!
I didn’t quite get any great shots of the Gateway Arch itself, but I did get this cartoon man hanging out inside the arch, the view of the river from the arch and the view inside the top of the arch :)
On the way back, we made a pit stop by Lincoln’s house. We learned quite a bit about the Lincoln family from a very informative tour guide who was clearly having a very long day. It’s always a very unique experience to occupy the same space in which history was made.
