Nature’s Harmony Album Cover and App
Illustration and UX Design for an album cover and pre-order app for Whispering Grove’s latest album, Nature’s Harmony.
UX DESIGN
The UX design for this project focused on developing a pre-order app for the album. The tools used were Figma, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
ILLUSTRATION
Along with the app development, I also developed a system of illustrations to be used on both the album cover, as well as on the app and any marketing for the album.

The UX research for this project included an exercise in user research to focus in on user pain points, create user personas, and user journey maps. The goal of the project was to create a smooth, user centered experience of pre-ordering an album. After the initial research was complete, wireframes were designed in the form of a sketch and then developed in Figma.
Throughout the design process, usability testing was implemented to further develop the app and ensure a seamless experience for the user. The resulting design aims to create a smooth and frictionless checkout experience for the user, while also making the process visually delightful throughout.
A visual identity was created for the app and included typography, navigation bar design, iconography, button design, illustration, and more. Consistent use of each element ensured a cohesive look throughout the app.
ILLUSTRATION
I designed the cover for the album in my typical way—by going way overboard (please see gold leaf pile), and then scaling back. Here are some sketches and progress shots of the main illustration as they were developed.
The initial ideas stemmed from the title of the album and explored various ways of incorporating nature and music.
I created a variety of final illustrations for the project, and ended up using most of them. I also created some mockup imagery and assets that could be used for marketing purposes.
